Maddy Budd outside Ariki Store in Grey Lynn (on Ariki Street)

This is our linen Antonio dress by Pluto and one of my favourite pieces in store at the moment. It is simple, comfortable and I can easily imagine wearing it in Winter with stockings, some kind of sturdy rainproof shoe and a jumper. It is good quality linen so it will wear nicely too. This kind of dress is a perfect basic to have in ones wardrobe, it comes in two other colour ways (charcoal grey and light light greyish purple) and its one of those dresses that will last through the seasons.

Keep it simple guys. 

The reason I have named this post 'Support Local' is because we shot this outside the Ariki store which is a cute new(ish) coffee shop that sells amazing food, Kapiti ice cream and milkshakes! We were meant to get a milkshake but they had just closed (closes around 4pm). Anyway, long story short, I think we should support local artisans! Like this sweet spot and our clothing store too because the designers are your neighbours, the sewers are your neighbours and the garments are made for you by women just like you!
